Most of this crap just falls into the "i need to sound like Hans Zimmer immediately" category. Oh, right, I know, the 'working musician' has tough deadlines and has to work fast, so loading phrases of other people's compositions into his compositions is obviously important blah blah.somehow these guys still got jobs ten years ago when the technology didn't exist. Or, like 8dio, it's become 50-50 between multi-sampled instruments for playing via MIDI and, well, phrase libraries woooo. some companies, like Sonokinetic, focus their entire primary product line on phrase-based sampling. Obviously they must sell, though, or NI wouldn't have made Action Strings / Action Strikes and now this. Phrase-based sample libraries are really the peak of idiocy in the computer music realm.
